In pursuing to upgrade the trim level of my lion, this is the one of three items which I can categorized as the most expensive (even for a used unit). The level of upgrade will start from MFD -> Comm2000 -> Rain Sensor / Windscreen. These upgrades will take a long time to complete as I need to study to make sure these “retro-fitting” works and does not explode my car. A lot of mix and match needed to reach the objective.

I have been noticing a slight drop in my car performance since 85K KM and moreover, there was an echo of undesirable noise emitted from the front end of the car especially when starting it from a cold engine condition. Further investigation was carried out and to my shock I had a crack on one of my extractor pipe. The crack revealed itself when I undone the heat shield during my regular maintenance week. Just over 4 years old of ownership, I had this crack which quite surprising, usually cracks will happens near to 10 years of usage.

Well, after 4 years, 4 months, 3 days, 5 hours and 13 minutes; I reached 100K on my odometer. Yay! I was on my way for Iftar Ramadhan with fellow 206 members. It was a great memories with my lion and I’m looking forward for more in the future.

Today, a year, 5 months and 15 days (from the last replacement), I had a flat battery. Just in time for me to go home from work. I thought I had a failed fuel pump or coil pack failure etc. because of no warning beep from BSI. The engine started for a second and shut down afterwards…
