90K service was due and as usual, I sent it over to GeotAuto for lub service. It will be a quick change coz I only need a fresh engine and gearbox oil for this time around. Arrived at the service centre half past two and there were 5 cars in the queue. At first, they reluctant to accept it as they might not able to do it by today but since I was there and my service was not a major, they registered my car and it will be ready at approximately 5PM. Well another two and half hours to go.
Short of 1,309KM to 90K, actually it was overdue by 3K as the last service was done earlier due to timing belt change
Not the “red” one, Quartz Blue on top left corner. Quite a busy day for them, a lot of cars need to be serviced. This is due to coming Chinese New Year holiday.
As we all know, since last year Nasim has introduced new policy which all independent authorised service centre must obey. I’m not exactly sure the details but here is what I can come out with based on my observation.
- They will have to follow the same interior and exterior design of the service centre including staffs uniforms.
- They are no longer supplying Total lubrication. This time I have to forgo with Petronas Syntium 800. The only Total they have is the fully synthetics which cost around RM280 per can.
- The centralize service system is quite slow (SAP), It wasted my time waiting for the link especially during the payment.
The good thing is, GeotAuto still have some loose policy especially roaming around in the service bay area. Another note, the gearbox oil comes with the new packaging hence the price was based per liter as stipulated in the bill above.
I’m not sure from this time onward whether to continue my service over there since I will be stuck with Petronas lubricant. Well another 10K to think about it.
